1. How do I enroll at Frost MS?
Students attending current “feeder” elementary schools (elementary schools within the attendance boundaries of Frost Middle School)
- Resident students will be automatically transferred from their elementary schools based on the residence address recorded as of February 1, 2007.
- Students on PWT or CAP programs will be transferred to appropriate schools per their program.
- Students not residing in the Frost Middle School attendance area must apply for a permit (either Open Enrollment, School for Advanced Studies or Magnet).
Students not attending current “feeder” elementary schools (private schools but reside within the attendance boundaries of Frost Middle School)
- Please refer to the checklist of documents required for registration.
- Dates and times for Fall Registration will be posted in June.
Students residing within LAUSD but not within attendance area for Frost Middle School
- Parents must either apply for Open Enrollment, School for Advanced Studies, or Magnet Permits.
- Choices Brochures for Magnet Applications will be mailed by the District to students attending LAUSD schools during December and applications are due in January. Transportation is available in select areas.
- Open Enrollment and School for Advanced Studies Permits are available in May and must be obtained at the current school.
Students residing outside LAUSD
- Parents must apply to their own residential School District for an Inter-District Permit as early as possible. Each School District has their own process. Once the permit is approved by that District it will be forwarded to LAUSD for approval. Upon approval by LAUSD, the parent and school requested will receive copies of the approved permit.
- After receipt of the permit approved by LAUSD, parent should contact the Attendance Office to arrange for registration. Please refer to the checklist of documents required for registration.

3. What do I need to bring?
Please bring copies of the following documents: (Favor de traer las copias de los siguientes documentos:)
- Immunizations/Vacunas (2 copies/2 copias)
- Proof of residency (gas or electric bill in parent’s name or complete)/Prueba de residencia (el recibo de la cuenta de gas ó luz a nombre de los padres o el padre necesita llenar un declaración en la oficina)
- Most recent report card/El ultimo reporte de calificaciones
- Pupil Accounting Report (PAR) from current LAUSD school OR if current school is not LAUSD school, bring a birth certificate/Si el estudiante ha atendido anteriormente una escuela de Distrito Escolar Unificado de Los Angeles necesita solicitor el reporte llamado PAR y si nunca ha asistido a alguna de las escuelas de distrito tendrá que traer la partida de nacimiento.
- Individualized Education Plan if student receives Special Education services/Si el estudiante ha recibido servicios de educación especial, traer una copia del ultimo IEP
- Birth Certificate or Passport/ Certificado de nacimiento
