Welcome to 7th grade Pre-Algebra! My name is Megan Braucher. This is my 23rd year of teaching math. I have been at Frost since 1996. I truly belive that it takes a partnership between the parents, the students and the teacher to successfully educate our kids. Pre-Algebra is a real challenge for many students. It is often their first real exposure to higher level math concepts and abstract algebraic concepts.It is also a very important year of math for preparing them for the High School Exit Exam {CAHSEE) and to take Algebra 1.Please be aware that your student should have a homework assignment for math every night, even over the weekends. Please check out the homework link on the Home page of the Frost Web Site to find out your child's homework assignment. It is extremely important that your student keep up with the work for the class. If your student is absent, he or she needs to get the make up work and he or she will have 1 additional day for each day he or she is absent to make up the work.
