I would like to welcome the staff, students and parents to the 2008-09 school year. We have many planned activities to keep our students motivated and ready to learn this year.

We are all very proud of our students, teachers, and support personnel at Frost Middle School due to our California State Test results. We increased the number of Proficient and Advanced students by 11% from the 2007 school year.

Our teachers provide our students with a rigorous program of study that develops critical thinkers and successful learners. Our current, 2008, Academic Performance Index has increased to 812. A growth of 49 points from the 2007 school year; however, we did not meet the growth required in our Special Education subgroup. As we did not meet our growth in this subgroup, Frost Middle School is now in Program Improvement (PI) status.

Our Professional Development Team is planning strategies to personalize instruction and provide for differentiation for all our students. The faculty, staff, and administration will continue to work as a team to continue our upward growth and meet the requirements for all of our students.
